Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Minimum Grade 10 (authentic school report) or NQF Level 2 / ABET Level 4

Able to read and write

Previous public service experience or porter experience is an added advantage

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team

Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles, Patients’ Rights, and 6 ministerial priorities

Willingness to work flexi hours, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Ability to deliver service under pressure
Key Duties and Responsibilities
-
Accompany walking patients, patients on wheelchairs, and stretchers to service points
-
Assist in loading and offloading patients from ambulances and private vehicles
-
Clean wheelchairs and stretchers and transport them to the porter’s bay
-
Transport corpses from wards to the mortuary
-
Assist with messenger services, including delivery of blood samples and files
-
Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor
