Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4)

National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7) in one of the following:

Psychology
-
BA Social Work (majoring in Psychology)

Or any relevant equivalent qualification

Experience
-
3–5 years’ experience in an Education / Teaching and Learning environment or related field

At least 3 years at supervisory level

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Student Support Services Management
-
Oversee administration of the Student Support Services (SSS) Unit
-
Develop and implement the annual SSS operational plan
-
Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure delivery against targets
-
Develop, review, and implement SSS policies, procedures, and job profiles
Student Counselling & Academic Support
-
Manage student counselling services across the college
-
Coordinate counselling, guidance policies, procedures, and best practices
-
Track student behavior and academic performance
-
Implement psycho-social intervention programs
-
Ensure compliance with ethical codes in counselling services
-
Maintain and update a counselling database system for referrals
Career Guidance & Student Development
-
Provide career guidance and academic support to prospective and enrolled students
-
Develop and monitor career guidance implementation plans
-
Liaise with Vocational Program Managers and stakeholders
-
Support workplace exposure and student employability initiatives
Sports, Arts & Culture
-
Oversee sports, recreation, arts, and culture programs
-
Coordinate implementation of sports and recreation activities
-
Ensure college participation in provincial and national tournaments
-
Develop annual Sports, Arts & Culture plans and budgets
Student Governance & Leadership
-
Coordinate annual SRC election processes
-
Facilitate SRC training, mentoring, and leadership development
-
Review and update Student Code of Conduct and SRC Constitution
-
Monitor student orientation and induction programs
-
Mainstream gender and disability inclusion within student structures
Resource Management
-
Manage all human, financial, and operational resources of the unit
