Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering an exciting 12-month learnership opportunity for unemployed individuals to become Visual Merchandisers. This structured, work-based learning programme is designed to equip participants with commercial acumen and practical skills to service customers, grow sales volume, facilitate order-taking processes, and execute merchandising standards in a designated geographical area.

Reporting to the Account Developer, this role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, interacting with sales teams, customers, and consumers to drive brand excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Visual Merchandiser Learner, you will:

• Execute daily call schedules across assigned bronze and tin outlets, aligning with planned objectives.
• Implement visual merchandising standards, including stock rotation and in-store displays, per brand guidelines.
• Ensure product quality, availability, and visibility in line with RED and execution scorecard standards, including completing the iRED survey.
• Support customers in placing orders through the MyCCBA platform.
• Assist in promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
• Provide relief support as directed by the line manager.

Who You’ll Work With

This role involves collaboration and interaction with:

• Sales Team Members: To collaborate on daily tasks and share knowledge.
• Sales Account Developer: To receive guidance, training, and feedback on performance and safety protocols, ensuring alignment with the broader sales process.
• Consumers: To understand preferences and behaviours, informing sales strategies and product development.

Requirements

To qualify for this learnership, you must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40% pass rate).
• Grade 12 communication with English and a second language (minimum 40% pass rate).
• South African citizen, aged 18–35.
• Available to work six days a week.
• Employment Equity candidate.
• No criminal record or adverse credit record (must consent to verification of criminal, ID, and qualifications).
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous, as driving to different stores may be required).
• Not enrolled in any current learnership programme or full-time studies.
• Not previously completed the same qualification/learnership at another company.
• Unemployed at the time of appointment.
• A post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing is a plus.

Programme Details

• Duration: 12 months
• Credits: A minimum of 120 credits is required to qualify.
• This learnership offers practical, hands-on experience to build a strong foundation in visual merchandising and sales.
