GAUTENG DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT is looking for a candidate that qualify to work as the REGISTRY CLERK in logistics directorate. The SALARY OF R173 703 per annum (plus benefits). The vacancies centre is Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.

REQUIREMENTS


candidate must at least have Grade 10 or equivalent or a Grade 12 or equivalent. Knowledge: Knowledge and skills of a
limited range of work environment procedures and basics clerical duties such as; Registry
duties. Electronic filling and Administration procedures relating to the specific working
environment including standards. Planning and or organising. Reporting
procedures. How to do basic research/ gather information. Procurement directives
and procedures. Knowledge of statistics. Skills: Organising. Ability to perform
a routine task. Be prepared to rotate and work shifts. Ability to operate a computer
(Microsoft Package), Computer course or certificate or computer as a subject. Basic
interpersonal relationship. Problem-solving. Maintaining discipline. Formulation and
editing. The following will be an added advantage: Able to work as a team player
and ability to work independently. Knowledge of Batho -Pele principles and six
ministerial priorities. Qualification / Training in Records Management will serve
as an added advantage.

DUTIES

organise the records in accordance with the Records management policy and National
Archives Act prescripts. Make photocopies of document for authorized employees
and the relevant departments in the hospital. Process applications for parking by
employees. Send out circulars and updates to employees using messenger services
or electronically by way of computers. Ensure that the Registry Office Machinery is
maintained and in good working order. Receive inbound mail/ articles and send out
outbound mail/ articles in accordance with the Department of Health Registry
Procedure Manual. Make sure that the franking machine is always reset with the
correct postage tariffs for the year. Keep accurate records of important documents
in files or electronic devices and statistical data will be used meaningfully in monthly reports.
